In the week of the 18-23 of August, Damian Filut, Deputy Director of METC, was invited to participate at the 1st Congress for instructors organized by the INTECAP (Technical Institute of Training and Productivity) in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
During the congress, Mr. Filut lectured on "Millennials and the New Educational Paradigm" for 350 instructors of the institutions, the board of directors and the Director of the institution. Also, Mr. Filut participated in a panel on the challenges of education in the 21st century during this event. The Ambassador of Israel in Guatemala, Mattanya Cohen, addressed the audience at the opening of the event.
Two workshops, of 4 hours each, were dictated to 55 participants from this institution on the topics of Soft Skills, Entrepreneurship in Education and ICT tools in the classroom.
In addition, thanks to the support of the embassy two more events were organized. The first one with the Shalom Club. Mr. Filut lectured on “Education Towards Sustainable Development” to 51 persons in the audience, including the next Minister of Education. The second lecture took place at the Ministry of Environment on the same topic, and it was dictated to 48 persons.
INTECAP and MASHAV have a long relationship with a lot of potential to develop joint projects. This was an opportunity to renew the contact and hopefully program further activities.
